Denver needlework chapters come together in first ever Guild Day to celebrate stitching

It’s a first for needlework groups in the Denver Metro area:  A one-day event for all four stitching guilds (two chapters of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America and two chapters of the American Needlepoint Guild)  to celebrate what they have in common:  a love of stitching in all its forms.  The Colorado Chapter of EGA is hosting.  All interested members will be stitching a needlepoint interpretation by Caela Tyler, adapted from a cross-stitch design by Amy Bruecken Designs called, ‘Witchy-Poo.’

Members of all the guilds knew the very talented designer and needlepointer, Caela Tyler, who died March 24.  She loved all the needle arts, and she loved teaching.  Her generosity was unmatched.  Caela will be terribly missed by her students, friends and fellow-stitchers.

Also, at the end of April,

B-E-A-D-S!!!!!!!!!

Our ANG chapter will be participating in the Rocky Mountain Bead Society’s Bead Bazaar on April 29-30, 2016. Our members have had a great time at events such as this in the past, and I’m really looking forward to our involvement this year. Save the date on your calendars and look for a sign-up email from me in the next couple of weeks.

For more details, see the RMBS website here.

See you there!
